Malteser R is a rising 4yo by Dutch stallion AEA Metallic. AEA Metallic’s grandsire is Olympic Ferro, winner of three Olympic silver team medals including Sydney 2000. AEA Metallic has recently reached Grand Prix level dressage and is already wining national competitions. Malteser R is out of a Jive Magic mare, Jaffa Cake. Jaffa Cake carries the Salute blood through her dam, Shirley R. The Salute blood is probably the most influential performance Olympic bloodline in Australia today. Salute is the sire of Victory Salute, 9th at the WEG 2010; Stirling Stilton who was the highest-placed Australian combination at the WEG in 2002; Staccato, ranked the number one eventing stallion in the world some years ago and the list goes on. Socialite R, the dam of Mystery Whisper, who competed at the London 2012 Olympics, is also by Salute. Malteser R has four socks and a blaze. Due to his age, he hasn’t been under saddle for very long. However, Malteser R’s quiet and trainable attitude has made the breaking-in process so quick and easy! He is already travelling in a soft and round frame and has three big expressive paces. His movement and genetics make him a very serious prospect for the future. This, combined with a great attitude, should make Malteser R unstoppable! Malteser R will have competed in a couple of dressage competitions before the auction.
